Gene Endrody is the founder, president and creator of and has created games such as Ratinator, Sherwood Dungeon, and Marian's World. Working in computer graphics and digital media for over 20 years, he has been working with many computer companies. His biography states:

As the co-founder of VFX Digital Solutions in 1992, he supplied digital video systems and services to production companies, cable stations and government agencies. The company became established as a leading source of information and digital video products in Western Canada.
He is known in-game as Sir Gene (which is unique as it has a space, so it's impossible to fake).

Being a Technical Director at Radical Games, he has worked on many games for, but not limited to, the Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube. In the past few years, Radical Games has grown to be the world's largest independent developers. Now running Maid Marian his site attracts over 1.25 million visitors per month. He produces 3D web-games through Shockwave. With his first game released, Ratinator, it ranked #3 in's Arcade/Shooter section. Now with his main project being Sherwood Dungeon he is spending most of his time with updates on this game.

He quit his work as a technical director/teacher, and fully worked on Maid Marian between April 2006 and January 2016.

In January 2016 he started working for Hothead Games, a mobile game developer. Since as of July 2016 none of the Maid Marian games have received any updates, it can be presumed that he abandoned their development.
